Fox Hysen (b. 1982) is known for her singular paintings in which an indeterminate picture emerges from an interplay of color and form. Both drawn and painted, her compositionally sophisticated pictures are found through a process of improvisation. Imagination and the unconscious are brought into contact with the conventions of landscape, still-life, and painterly form. Hysen was born in San Rafael, California and grew up in the Bay Area. She currently lives and works in Norfolk, Ct and is full-time faculty at the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting at MICA in Baltimore. She has had exhibitions at Below Grand and Soloway Gallery in New York and Gallery 16 and Et al. in San Francisco.
Chris Peckham (b. 1990). Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Solo exhibitions include Jupiter Drive at Cierah, 2023 New York, NY; CAR at Money Gallery, 2021 St. Petersburg, Russia. Group exhibitions include From That Which is Below, 2026 Tops Gallery, Memphis, TN; King’s Leap & Freddy, 2023 Freddy, Harris, NY; Certain Times, 2022 Money Gallery at Lily Robert Gallery, Paris, France; Almost Samhain, 2022 at Annex de Odelon, Queens, NY; Bienevenue Art Fair, 2021 with Money Gallery at Hôtel La Louisiane, Paris, France; Got Dressed in the Dark, 2017 at Divisible, Dayton, OH.
